So I usually buy the huge packs of fresh salmon from Costco and cut them up into individual portion sizes and freeze them. I'll pull out a portion for the kids to eat once a week because it's a great source of Omega goodness.
I usually make it with 1/2cup of Uncle Ben's Roasted Garlic and Olive Oil long Grain and Wild Rice.
Really, the salmon can be served with potatoes or other veggies, but the kids generally take well to the rice without fussing.
INGREDIENTS
-salmon portion
- water
-sea salt
-cracked pepper
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
1.Fill a frying pan so it's half way full
2. Place your salmon in the frying pan
3. Cover and cook on medium high
4. Once the fish is cooked flip, it over and cover for another 2-3 minutes
5. Sprinkle salt and pepper.
This recipe can be adapted for any variety of fish. Also, you can use any type of spice instead of salt and pepper. If I cooking it for myself, I will also add some Mrs. Dash spice to it. Salmon in itself is a very flavourful fish, so really salt and pepper is usually good enough.
